Interesting dilemma in my household these days. My eight year-old is dropping teeth like flies. The challenge is the tooth fairy doesn’t always come on time. We’re thinking the tooth fairy, like most of us, is more accustomed to electronic forms of payment and is having a hard time carrying around all that cash. And perhaps leaving a prepaid card under the pillow doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.
I was glad to learn that I wasn’t the only one who noticed this challenge. We regularly ask our employees about cash usage. Notice the “tooth fairy” made the list multiple times:
Unfortunately, we at MasterCard haven’t been able to solve the tooth fairy’s cash-intensive business challenges – not yet anyway. I’m sure my colleagues in MasterCard Labs will dream something up.
In the meantime, I guess we all have to accept that when it comes to the tooth fairy, cash is still king.
Do you use cash? If so, where and why?
