Birgit Deibele is Vice President, Communications for Africa at MasterCard. Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, Birgit is responsible for all external and internal communications, social media, Corporate Social Responsibility programs, and corporate events for MasterCard’s Sub-Saharan African and South African businesses.

Birgit joined MasterCard in 2014 from Tribeca Public Relations, MasterCard’s communications consultancy agency in South Africa, where she was responsible for developing and implementing 360 degree client communication strategies for numerous clients, including MasterCard, eBucks, and the FNB Whisky Live Festival, among others.

Birgit has a Bachelor of Journalism from Rhodes University.
