Celebrating Leadership, Inclusion

This morning, three Mastercard executives were recognized as part of the 2016 OUTstanding Leading LGBT+ & Ally Executives and LGBT+ Future Leaders Lists, presented by the FT. The company’s inspirational LGBT and ally leaders are:

  • Shamina Singh, president of the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth, has been a long-time advocate and leader on LGBT issues and serves on the company’s Global Diversity & Inclusion Committee, among several other activities
  • JR Badian, a marketing vice president, has championed digital advertising that reinforced how “Acceptance Matters” over the past several years
  • Mark Barnett, president of the company’s United Kingdom and Ireland operations, was identified as a leading ally for the LGBT community. He has helped champion PRIDE, the company’s internal LBGT network

This is the latest recognition of the company’s continued commitment to diversity and inclusion as both an employer of choice and as a business driver.

Executives like Shamina, Mark and JR embody how Mastercard has prioritized inclusion and helped weave diverse perspectives into the day-to-day operations. These efforts have allowed Mastercard to better understand its customers by bringing outside thinking in. It allows employees to feel more connected to the organization and the end goal we all drive toward.
