MasterCard Supports Young Entrepreneurs in India through Training Program

MasterCard, alongside the International Youth Foundation (IYF) and the Community Collective Society for Integrated Development (CCFID), has been providing entrepreneurship training to young men and women in Delhi and Mumbai through the Young Entrepreneurs program.

Since its launch in April 2012, 720 young entrepreneurs have graduated from the program, most of whom now operate local businesses such as tailoring shops, handicraft stalls, computer and mobile phone repair stores, and food and sweet shops. The program has also helped create over 500 new employment opportunities for unemployed youth through supporting the youth-led businesses over the 2-year program period.
