MasterCard recently teamed up with The Taproot Foundation, hosting the first MasterCard ProBono Challenge.
The event brought ACCION East, Girl Scouts of the USA, Junior Achievement of Greater New York, Pro Mujer, Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship and Women’s Enterprise Development Center, Inc. to MasterCard headquarters in Purchase, NY. Employees volunteered their time and expertise, helping each organization tackle a critical need, ranging from building a strong marketing plan to financial modeling to crafting an effective technology strategy.
Following the event, the Taproot team shared their perspective via a blog on the Taproot site, and feedback from the non-profit participants.
- “We were impressed by the level of expertise of all the team members and their commitment to helping our organization.”
- “The experience was truly “priceless”. Having experts working on our problems, however little, was more than we could afford nor imagine.”
