Dhaka, 17 August, 2017 – Mastercard today announced its partnership with Eastern Bank Limited (EBL) to launch a co-branded titanium credit card with Shwapno, Bangladesh’s largest retail chain with 63 outlets and over 48 percent market share nationwide. The co-branded card marks the nation’s first grocery credit card, launched today for Shwapno shoppers at an official event at Pan Pacific Sonargaon, Dhaka.
The Mastercard Titanium Credit Card comes with a host of discounts and privileges at over 1,700 Mastercard partner merchant outlets. In addition to being eligible for 2.5 percent cash vouchers each month, cardholders will also receive loyalty points for purchases made with the card, which can be redeemed at any Shwapno outlet. Cardholders can also enjoy the first year’s issuance fee waived and be free of annual charges from the second year onwards with a minimum of 18 transactions per year for each cardholder. The card also comes with e-commerce vouchers worth BDT 1500 to shop at Kiksha and Priyoshop.
For those who love to travel, the Mastercard Titanium Credit and Loyalty Card also comes with travel benefits including Buy-One-Get-One-Free deals at partner hotels in both Cox Bazar, Bangladesh’s fishing port and district headquarters, as well as Sylhet, a metropolitan city in northeastern Bangladesh. Cardholders will also have access to the EBL Sky Lounge at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport and Shah Amanat International Airport, Chittagong. The Half Interest Pay Order (HiPO) facility and the Buy-One-Get-One-Free offer at The Westin will also be made available to them.

The Mastercard Titanium Credit Card can be used at over 33,000 Mastercard-accepted Point-of-Sale terminals and more than 7,000 ATM locations nationwide.
