Improving the nation’s financial health

The Financial Inclusion Commission has today published an independent report, supported by MasterCard, highlighting the alarming extent of exclusion from financial services amongst millions of mainly low income families. Flickr Photo: Ann Cairns, MasterCard President International Markets

In response to the report, Ann Cairns, president of International Markets, MasterCard, said:

“Financial inclusion is a challenge facing all nations, not just developing countries. We need to create access and opportunity for more people to join the financial mainstream and have access to the benefits this brings.  Every day, across the world, we help our customers make safe, simple and smart payments, and our belief is that we can assist in bridging the gap to those who are currently excluded.”
