Executive vice president of commercial products
James Anderson is executive vice president of commercial products at Mastercard and a member of the company’s management committee. In this role, he is responsible for all of Mastercard’s products and programs targeted at business users – including Small and Medium Business (SMB) and Travel and Entertainment programs, virtual card solutions for Accounts Payables and a set of new Business to Business products under development.
Before taking on his current role, James served as executive vice president of digital payment products, leading three initiatives; Mastercard Digital Enablement Service (MDES), Masterpass and the API platform.
He has spent his career at the intersection of mobile, payment and internet technologies in Product Development, Business Development and General Management roles.
James holds an MBA from Columbia University and received a bachelor’s degree in politics, philosophy and economics from the University of Oxford.
James joined Mastercard in 2007.
