Today, MasterCard joins more than 500 African and European heads of state and government, as well as representatives the private sector, investment agencies and media in Mons, Brussels for the EU-Africa B2B Forum.
Organized by the EU- Africa Chamber of Commerce, the event connects African and European leaders, enabling them to redefine their business partnerships, and forge new collaborations in their respective sectors.
Daniel Monehin, Division President, Sub-Saharan Africa, MasterCard, will discuss how electronic payments can drive inclusive growth and boost foreign investment and trade in Africa.
He will participate in two sessions at the EU-Africa B2B Forum today, namely:
• Doing Business in Africa: Africa’s growth and business opportunities are about much more than just resources. Monehin will share insights on some of the key challenges and success factors that various parties face in doing business in Africa.
• Access to Finance for SMEs: Africa’s SMEs have little access to finance, which hampers their emergence and eventual growth. In this session, Monehin will join other industry heavy weights to address the role that electronic payments can play in improving the financial challenges that SMEs currently face.
