Dubai, UAE, May 13, 2015: MasterCard, McDonald’s and the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) yesterday announced that McDonald’s diners looking to order online can now pay using MasterCard’s digital service – MasterPass. The announcement, which was made at Cards and Payments Middle East, follows a Strategic Collaboration Agreement that was signed between MasterCard and McDonald’s earlier this year.

MasterPass offers consumers a hassle-free way to make convenient, simple, fast and secure payments online by allowing them to store their MasterCard or other branded payment card information, as well as shipping and billing address details, securely in one place. After shopping online, consumers can then make payments and check out conveniently and quickly, without the hassle of having to re-type these details for each purchase. McDonald’s customers who have signed up for MasterPass simply need to select the ‘Buy with MasterPass’ button when ordering online for McDonald’s home delivery via the McDonald’s UAE website.

Eyad Al Kourdi, Country Manager – UAE, MasterCard, commented: “McDonald’s shares our vision of driving a faster, simpler and more secure online checkout experience. MasterPass is ideal for merchants like McDonald’s that operate in a fast-paced environment, and will provide customers with a way to pay for an order with a single click, tap or touch of the ‘Buy with MasterPass’ option.”
