Mastercard at UNGA 72: Advancing the Inclusion of Everyone

Billions of people around the world are unable to meet their basic human needs like food, shelter, clothing and medicine. They have inadequate access to jobs, education and commerce that would help them build better lives. Yet, the ability to address these challenges stretches beyond the capabilities of governments or non-profits alone.

It is this gap between needs and reality where the public and private sectors can come together in action to create greater impact and advance progress on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

As world leaders convene in New York City for the 72nd United Nations General Assembly, Mastercard will be at the forefront driving conversations to accelerate progress around the SDGs. During a number of sessions throughout the week, the company’s collaboration with public and private sector partners will be highlighted as technology and expertise are activated to create a more socially and economically inclusive world.

Among the key events, Ajay Banga, president and CEO, will speak on a panel at the Bloomberg Global Business Forum on Forces for Change: How Meeting the Sustainable Development Goals is Good for Business. The session will be livestreamed here from 10:50 – 11:25 am.
