MasterCard has been recognized by DiversityInc for its efforts to develop and encourage an inclusive culture and workplace. On Tuesday evening, the publication ranked MasterCard sixth on its 2014 list of the top 50 most diverse companies.
In noting the company’s efforts, DiversityInc founder and CEO, Luke Visconti, recognized MasterCard’s culture and unrelenting focus on innovation and talent development. “The remarkably inclusive culture is led by President and CEO Ajay Banga, a visible supporter of diversity and inclusion. MasterCard employees get the connection between diversity and business goals — 40 percent of US employees are members of resource groups.”
