MasterCard, one of the world’s most active sponsors of major sporting events, is among the first 50 organizations to launch the Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA). The move reinforces the company’s ongoing commitment to live its corporate values, and the importance of ensuring its partners and sponsorship properties are aligned to promote good governance and integrity in sport. SIGA is grounded in 12 Core Principles on Sport Integrity that were formally adopted by SIGA members who are currently working together to strengthen industry standards in areas such as Financial Integrity and Good Governance. These standards and best practices are being developed with the goal of widespread adoption across the sport sector.
