April 28, 2023 | HONG KONGOn the evening of 27 April, 2023, Mastercard was made aware of an incident impacting a limited number of Hong Kong cardholders who may have seen duplicate transactions posted to their account. Our investigation confirms this was caused by a set of transactions being submitted twice for processing. It is not related to any fraudulent activity. We are currently assisting the respective acquiring and issuing banks in reversing all duplicate transactions as an immediate priority.
