Dongchun Choi
Division President, Northeast Asia

Dongchun Choi is division president, Northeast Asia, encompassing Korea and Japan. He is responsible for all aspects of Mastercard’s operations across the two markets, including strengthening business alliances, enhancing brand awareness, and promoting the growing usage and acceptance of Mastercard’s industry-leading digital payments solutions.

Dongchun joined Mastercard in 2003 as division president for Korea and expanded his remit from September 2017 to Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. Before joining Mastercard, he held a range of other leadership roles with McKinsey and Company, Salomon Smith Barney, and Ilshin Investment Company.

Dongchun completed his undergraduate studies at Korea University and holds an MBA from Kellogg Business School of Northwestern University.
