This annual event aims to raise awareness of the financial technology sector trends and developments in the electronic payment market among banks and merchants around the world, by providing opportunities for constructive networking between the leaders of the electronic payments sector and the major players in the payments sector. Mastercard's keenness to participate as a key player in encouraging digital transformation throughout Egypt and abroad by spreading a culture of innovation and technology in the field of payments.

Mohamed Assem, Director of MasterCard in Egypt , stressed the importance of applying smart city technology to accelerate digital transformation in Africa. He said, "Egypt and Africa are important markets for MasterCard, and therefore we invest in supporting these markets by providing innovative digital solutions and facilitating digital transformation, and we will continue to work closely with the Egyptian government to develop the first smart administrative capital." He added that "the strategic partnership between the public and private sectors is necessary to support the Egyptian market to achieve its economic potential."
