Ka-Wai Au is the executive vice president of Global Customer Delivery for Mastercard and a member of the company’s Management Committee. In this role, he is responsible for the end-to-end technical implementation of the company’s products and solutions for issuers, acquirers, merchants and other partners.

Throughout his 25-plus-year career, Ka-Wai has reimagined technology priorities, created trusted partnerships, and ensured joint ownership when executing complex programs.

Prior to joining Mastercard in 2023, Ka-Wai served as head of Technology at Fiserv for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa Financial Institutions Business operations. He played a pivotal role in leading a series of major client implementations, the acquisition of First Data, while also building the next generation cloud-based issuing processing platform.

During his tenure at the U.K.’s Financial Conduct Authority, he led the implementation of fundamental change to the regulator’s delivery procedures. He previously held leadership positions at Barclays Bank and Accenture.

Ka-Wai graduated from the University of Bristol in the U.K. with a Bachelor of Engineering degree with a concentration in Aerospace Engineering.
