Ling Hai is President for Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East & Africa at Mastercard. In his current role, he is responsible for advancing the company's business strategy, sales, business development, product management and engagements with customers and regulators. Ling Hai sits on the company’s Executive Leadership Team as well as its global Management Committee.
Ling Hai joined Mastercard in 2010 and during his tenure, he has served as Division President of Greater China, President of Enterprise Partnerships in London, and as Co-President of Mastercard’s Asia Pacific region, based in Singapore. Most recently, he was Co-President of International Markets.
Ling Hai started his career as a management consultant and worked for both Booz Allen Hamilton and A.T. Kearney. He also held executive roles with Bank of America and HSBC.
Ling Hai has built a track record of serving on both corporate and non-profit boards, as well as board committees. He is Chairman of the Board of Mastercard NetsUnion Information Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd., and a Non-Executive Board Director of Cuscal Limited. In addition, he serves as a director of the National Committee on US-China Relations and as a senior advisor for HongShan Capital Group. He is also a co-chair for the B20 South Africa - Digital Transformation Task Force, and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
Ling Hai graduated from the College of Saint Rose in New York and obtained his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.
