SVP, Global Digital Partnerships
Aparna Mohan is Senior Vice President, Global Digital Partnerships at Mastercard. In this role, she leads strategy, commercialization and business development efforts with key digital partners including facebook, Google, Apple, Microsoft and Samsung.
During her 14 years with the company, she has held several product and marketing roles, including as global P2P product lead, and global marketing lead for the consumer credit business. Notably Aparna was also chief of staff to CEO Ajay Banga for the first two years of his tenure. In that role, she expanded the company’s external relationships with global and advocacy organizations whose missions Mastercard’s complement corporate objectives.
Before joining MasterCard, she spent several years at the independent public relations firm Edelman, leading media and investor relations efforts for several Fortune 100 companies. She began her career at the US Agency for International Development in Washington DC, as a Special Assistant for Asia and the Near East during President Bill Clinton’s second term. In that role, she worked with regional teams and the US Department of State to execute Administration priorities within that region.
Aparna holds a BA in International Studies from the Johns Hopkins University, and a MA in International Economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
