Azzam Alameddin
Senior Vice President for Public Policy, Mastercard EEMEA
Azzam Alameddin is the Senior Vice President for Public Policy, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (EEMEA) for Mastercard.
Azzam’s career expands for 30 years split between international diplomacy and corporate public policy and government relations. He held regional leadership positions at a number of international companies, including Mondelez International, Visa and Meta over a period of 14 years, prior to joining Mastercard in 2023.
He is a Member of the Advisory Council of Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, and has assumed several roles in his professional career, including member of the Group of Experts for Arab Internet Governance Forum, coordinator for the Arab countries at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, and member of the United Nations Group of Government Experts on international information security in Geneva and New York.
Azzam graduated from the Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey with a Master’s degree in International Relations. Additionally, he also holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism & Mass Communication from the American University in Cairo.
