Eleanor Cartwright
Senior Vice President, People and Capability, Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa

Eleanor Cartwright is the Senior Vice President of People and Capability for the Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EEMEA) region at Mastercard. In this role, she engages with stakeholders to support and grow their business, overseeing people and talent strategies, organizational activities, and driving the execution of business priorities across the Region.

Eleanor brings over 25 years of experience spanning financial services, management consulting, telecommunications, and business advisory services. Since joining Mastercard in 2019, she has been a key player in enhancing organizational efficiency and effectiveness through innovative people management initiatives. Prior to her current role, Eleanor served as Vice President of People and Capability for the Middle East and Africa region.

Before joining Mastercard, Eleanor was the Talent Development Leader and Deputy HR Director at EY for the Middle East and North Africa region, where she led a team of 18 HR specialists to deliver the Talent Strategy across 16 countries in the Middle East and North Africa. Her tenure at EY was marked by significant achievements, including the leadership of a global change management program to transform performance management and development processes.

Eleanor holds a BA (Hons) in Industrial Relations and Psychology from the University of Kent, UK. She is a Chartered Accountant (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales), a Certified Executive Coach (International Coaching Federation), and an accredited facilitator for various leadership and development programs.
