Ngozi Megwa
Senior Vice President, Digital Partners and Enablers, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, Mastercard

Ngozi Megwa is the Senior Vice President, Digital Partners and Enablers for Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (EEMEA).

In this role she is responsible for managing Mastercard’s relationships with digital partners across the region including Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), digital giants and regional fintech partners. Her remit includes bringing together a broad set of Mastercard capabilities, payments infrastructure and assets that enable digital partners and enablers to accelerate innovation and societal impact in digital payments.

Ngozi has more than 15 years of global experience in sales, marketing and operations, holding leadership positions across diverse industries such as technology, oil and gas, and financial services.

She joined Mastercard in 2010 and has managed multiple product lines across several geographies and global clients. Prior to her current role, she was the Head of Market Development for Sub-Saharan Africa, responsible for driving business development for non-traditional payment solutions and partnerships with a focus on financial inclusion and growth of digital payments.

Ngozi’s career in financial services began at American Express in 1999 in commercial card sales, leading their business development activities. Before joining Mastercard, she was responsible for driving growth in commercial payments at Barclaycard within their Global Payments Solutions business.

She has a BSc. in Industrial Chemistry, Masters (MSc.) in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the UK and a Global Executive MBA from IESE Business School in Spain. She has also completed Corporate Director development programs at Harvard Business School and the Corporate Director Academy. Additionally, Ngozi has certificates in Risk Governance and Cyber Risk Oversight from the DCRO Risk Governance institute.
