With the service just launched in Italy, Samsung aims at speeding up the arrival of “cashless society”, as well as contributing to transforming money management

March 22, 2018 – Samsung Pay is now available in Italy to make payments easier, safer and faster than ever.

Introduced by Samsung in a event in Milan at the presence of Economy and Finances Deputy Minister, Luigi Casero, and together with partners banks, Samsung Pay enables users to pay and shop from their smartphone at every merchant accepting credit, debit or prepaid contactless cards. Samsung Pay supports both NFC (Near Field Communication) and MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission) technologies, and works with almost any payment terminals and with the member payment circuits[1].

“Contactless technology and mobile payments are leading the digital revolution in Italy. Mastercard partners Samsung in launching Samsung Pay in Italy to offer to an increasing number of Italian consumers the possibility to pay with their favorite device and make their lives easier” comments Michele Centemero, Country Manager Italy Mastercard.
